This airing last weekend (July 2009) was a test run on the Orange County PBS station and within 4 minutes of the broadcast starting the producer called David Schmidt and informed him the phone lines in the studio are jammed up with people demanding to know where to get LifeWave! Boy I wish I was up there manning the phones for them! This is just another example that those of us who are distributors know all to well. People know a good thing when they see it.

With a crowd of more than 800 gathered for LifeWave's open meeting at the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome on October 25, LifeWave Founder & CEO David Schmidt received an overwhelming surprise. An emissary from the office of the mayor presented him with a bronze coin to acknowledge LifeWave's contribution to Italy's earthquake victims.

Last April, the worst earthquake Italy has seen in three decades struck the historic central Italian city of L'Aquila. The disaster killed hundreds, left tens of thousands homeless and injured more than 1500 people. LifeWave responded by donating patches to help emergency response workers, volunteers and victims cope with the aftermath of this catastrophe. The donation has been instrumental in improving quality of sleep, relieving pain from sore muscles, providing much-needed energy and boosting antioxidant levels.

LifeWave would not have been able to facilitate this donation without the coordination efforts of distributor Luca LaBella and Professor Angelo Marra, Vice President of the International Observatory of Discomfort (IOD). They initially began distributing the patches in coordination with Italian Red Cross volunteers in the city of Alba Adriatica, who Mr. LaBella says were "shocked by these applications." The IOD has also been instrumental as an intermediary to psychologists who have used the patches to help victims deal with the mental effects of the disaster.

According to Mr. La Bella, the donation continues to help victims:
"We made a lot of contact with doctors who are working with the population because many victims are still living in a situation of depression and anxiety that they can now face with our Energy Enhancer patch, or with the help of Silent Nights to receive a solution for insomnia."
